Mischa Barton is a British-American film, television, and stage actress. She did the voice of Betty Anne Bongo in The Off-Beats, a traditional animation segment seen on the Nickelodeon animated anthology series KaBlam!.

Barton began her acting career on the stage, appearing in Tony Kushner's Slavs! and James Lapine's Twelve Dreams at New York's Lincoln Center. She then made her screen debut in 1996, a guest appearance on the American soap opera All My Children. Barton landed her first major film role as Devon Stockard in the 1997 fantasy-drama Lawn Dogs co-starring Sam Rockwell.

Barton may be best known for her role as Marissa Cooper in the Fox television series The O.C., for which she received two Teen Choice Awards and a Prism Award nomination. The role catapulted her into mainstream fame, being named the "It Girl" of 2003 by Entertainment Weekly.

In 2019, Barton starred on the first season of the MTV reality television show The Hills: New Beginnings, a sequel series to The Hills which was a spinoff of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. She then appeared in the 2020 comedy horror film Spree.
