Jay Martel is an American writer/producer, and occasional actor, that wrote one of the segments on The Henry and June Show, and episodes for Season 4 on the Nickelodeon animated sketch comedy series KaBlam!.
Martel has wrote for other Nickelodeon programs, including Welcome Freshmen (as an actor, portraying Mr. Royd), The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss and 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd.
Recently, Martel was a writer/executive producer on the award-winning television series Key & Peele, airing on Comedy Central from 2012 to 2015, and a screenplay/story writer for the 2015 film Get Hard. He would then be an executive producer (and actor, portraying Mr. Spinnoli) on the TV Land sitcom Teachers from 2016 to 2019.
Lately, Martel is an executive producer and writer for the Comedy Central variety show Alternatino with Arturo Castro and occasionally contributes to weekly magazine The New Yorker.
